TOM LUMSDEN, PREVIOUS SPONSORSHIP RECIPIENT FROM OAKLEYS
Tom Lumsden is 19 years old and resides in Southbridge, Canterbury. He is an apprentice builder in Christchurch.
He has a passion for fast cars and has been racing since he was 16 years old.
As one of the young chargers in his class, watch this guy as he pushes his 42c car to it's limits. Tom has notched up numerous race wins and top spots over the few years that he has been in the Modifiedsprint class. The Modified Sprints race most Saturday nights at Ruapuna Speedway in Christchurch.
Oakley's joined forces with Tom as a sponsor from 2008 - 2009 and he is currently in his third season in the Modified Sprint Class. Tom's car has achieved several first places last season.
Tom was placed second at the Canterbury Champs in February 2009 . And his most recent victory was in the 'CTRA South Island Title' at Ellesmere Raceway .
We are very proud to see Tom achieve his ambition ...............to win a competition title in his class, well done Tom!!!!!
Tom lists his favourite vegetable as potatoes.......the fuel for winners!!!!!
Tom and his trusty crew are always open to hitting the road when theres racing to be had and that in itself is a credit to their passion for speedway.
