Oakley’s Premium Fresh vegetables are an approved NZ GAP supplier
New Zealand Gap is a traceable, accountable system from crop to customer for the production of fruit, vegetables and flowers. Developed to ensure New Zealand produce meets food safety and quality assurance standards, the programme identifies approved suppliers as being committed to producing food, or other fresh produce such as flowers, in a safe and sustainable way. Developed by New Zealand growers the programme was launched by VegFed (NZ Vegetable and Potato Growers federation) in 1999, and in 2000 the NZ Fruit growers Federation joined. New Zealand GAP is now owned by Horticulture NZ following the merging of Vegfed , the fruitgrowers Federation and the Berryfruit Growers Federation in 2005.
