Did you know that unlike other major field crops, potatoes are reproduced vegetatively, from other potatoes. Therefore, a part of each year’s crop – from 5 to 15 per cent, depending on the quality of the harvested tubers – is set aside for re-use in the next planting season.

We’re proud to announce we have installed a 220kw solar operation to power our main site in Southbridge! This is one of the largest installations in the South Island to date.

The transition to solar will power us as we continue to store, wash, pack and dispatch our fresh vegetables across the country.

We go live this Monday and couldn’t be prouder as we continue along our sustainability journey 🌞
