Oakley’s Wins Three Farm Environment Awards

Previously we posted about how we were a regional finalist for the Cantebury Ballance Fram Environment Awards, a scheme set up to share and celebrate positive farming stories in Aotearoa.
On March 11th 2020 at the Canterbury Ballance Farm Environment Awards, Oakley’s were the proud recipients of three awards.
1. The Balance Agri-nutrient Soil Management Award which is self-explanatory;
2. The Hill Agri-science Award for demonstrating excellence in the use of science and monitoring to optimize productivity and minimize environmental impact;
3. The Massey University Innovation Award in which Kiwi ingenuity is celebrated taking into account the adoption of new technologies, tools and processes to improve environmental, social and economic outcomes.
We’re honoured to have been recognised for these prestigious awards. We’re proud of all of the hard work that goes on behind the scenes and the commitment of the team to a sustainable future. We were lucky enough to have a handful of our industry partners come out to support us from Foodstuffs, MG Marketing and United Fresh. Everyone who was featured as a regional finalist is doing a stellar job of being kaitiaki (protectors) to the whenua (land) in our primary industry. Their stories are exciting and ever-evolving, we can’t wait to see what comes next!
